Family member, partner or loved one with mental illness? This one's for you. An 8-session, 4 week course is taught by trained family members and all course materials are furnished without charge. The Fall 2021 class starts September 28th. The class is for families, partners and friends of individuals with mental illnesses. The course is designed to facilitate a better understanding of mental illness, increase coping skills and empower participants to become advocates for their loved ones. Join the Whatcom County community on Thursday, September 23 for a conversation and Q&A on balancing employment with mental health concerns. We'll be holding the event from 6-8pm. The panel includes NAMI Whatcom peers with lived experience and local behavioral health professionals. Membership is not required; anyone is welcome.
